To Spring

Today is officially the first day of spring but it's dead cold.
In fact, it's colder today than it was 2 weeks back.

Nature in this country has a wry sense of humour.
Especially in Manchester. The weather's quite rebellious here. It snowed everywhere twice in the UK- once in January and once a few days back. Practically every inch of Britain was covered in thick snow. Everywhere of course, except Manchester. Whatever...who needs 10 minutes of nice whiteness then hours of brown slush and spoilt shoes anyway.

It's really no wonder they talk about the weather so much here- it's unpredicatable and often ironic.
It's also often the most exciting thing that happens around here anyway.

I guess it's still a good day to start blogging again anyway.
Spring is about colourful flowers blooming out and leaves growing on trees again.
Spring is about new starts after cold and troubled winters.
Spring is about moving on to warmer, brighter, better, happier days.
Here's to Spring, and all it's promises...
